surfing - long board - beach vibes

San Onofre Beach - San Diego County

getting there

Directions: Drive to the State Park entrance & pay station at San Onofre State Beach Access

Time from LA to beach entrance: 1-2 hours drive. If you arrive after sunrise (when it opens), you can end up waiting in line (they have a car limit on the beach). The wait is always worth it!

When to go: All year just check the weather in case of windy or rain in winter.

Full adventure time: Half day or full day. It depends on how long you want to chill on the beach and surf.

We prefer to arrive at sunrise (depart LA 1 hour before sunrise) and then catch an early surf before taking it easy on the beach for the day.
